Originally from Ontario, Alain has 17 years of experience as a pilot and has had the opportunity to fly in countries such as the Czech Republic, Laos, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, the Philippines, Qatar, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States.

Since 2009, his main passion has been hot air ballooning. He is one of the few people in the world to have built his own hot air balloons and baskets entirely from scratch. He creates these balloons under the name Bard Balloons. Among his creations, seven are special shapes: an alien rocket, a Christmas reindeer, a polar bear, a tiger, a robot, a sun/cloud, and a mushroom.
