With 37 years of experience as a pilot, Danielle has participated in the festival 40 times and has flown in many countries around the world, including the United States, the Dominican Republic, France, Germany, Belgium, Finland, Portugal, Turkey, Madagascar, India, Japan, and China.

She won 2nd place with Léo Burman in 1999 in the Gordon Bennett Cup with a 1,536 km flight, and 2nd place with Linda Ellis in 2010 in the America's Challenge with a 1,971 km flight. Among her most remarkable achievements, she completed a 70.5-hour flight from Belgium to Finland.

Her passion for ballooning began when she was asked to join a chase crew — and she was instantly captivated by the experience.
