With 17 years of experience as a pilot, Julien has participated in 14 editions of the festival. His passion for hot air ballooning began in 2000 during his first chase, when he knew he had discovered something special.

During his first flight, he realized that he wanted to become a pilot himself. According to him, flying without an engine is an experience unlike any other type of aircraft.
