Flottille St-Jean

With 38 years of experience as a pilot, Richard is a festival regular, having participated in 41 editions in total. He has had the opportunity to fly in many countries, including Canada, the United States, Mexico, New Zealand, Australia, England, and France.

Among his achievements are victories in the Canada–U.S. Race and the Coupe Québec. He also holds a diving record with Lysanne Richard (2021).

His passion for hot air ballooning was sparked when he discovered the sport during the very first edition of the festival, living near the airport. Since then, he has never stopped nurturing his love for aviation.
