Olivier Faubert
About
Montreal-based singer-songwriter Olivier Faubert is on the cusp of song and indie rock, where emotional intensity rubs shoulders with graphic writing. Nourished as much by the Quebec song that through emo punk of the early 2000s, it develops a universe sensitive and rooted in the exploration of contrasts, like the passage of the seasons to Quebec, where light and darkness respond to each other over the course of life experiences.
After passing through the Montreal hardcore scene, he began a shift towards writing in French and launched the EP Mes ombres, nominated at the GAMIQ in 2022, then the album Pour ne pas mourir en hiver, in 2024.
On stage, he offers inhabited performances where abrasive arrangements meet a assumed proximity to the public. His project is part of a sincere approach, driven by the desire to create songs that hit the heart.
