Your role

As the Accounting & Administration Technician, you will be responsible for bookkeeping and day-to-day financial operations while providing organizational support to the rest of the team. You will also take part in projects that improve our ways of working and our workspaces to help enhance overall staff well-being.

Your responsabilities

What you’ll do :

Accounting & Finance

  • Maintain rigorous, up-to-date bookkeeping
  • Process payroll, track hours, and manage time-off and timesheet reports in collaboration with Human Resources
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable (invoice entry and tracking, client billing, payment follow-up)
  • Prepare and perform bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Support month-end preparation and financial statements

Organizational & Administrative Support

  • Help organize and administer contracts and agreements
  • Support the team with grant application preparation
  • Contribute to designing and implementing simple, effective processes tailored to the organization’s needs
  • Support internal projects to improve workspaces and collaborative tools
  • Help foster employee well-being and engagement by supporting HR and organizational initiatives (team activities, shared tools, day-to-day thoughtful touches)
Expectations

What we’re looking for :

  • Education in accounting and/or relevant experience
  • Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping experience
  • Experience with payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations
  • Strong command of accounting and office software (QuickBooks, EmployeurD)
  • Ease with numbers, high rigor, and strong attention to detail
  • Team spirit and motivation to contribute to a collective project
  • Energetic, open-minded, and highly adaptable to different situations
  • Natural ability to work in a team and encourage cross-functional collaboration
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities at once, organize work effectively, and prioritize tasks by importance and deadlines
  • Solution-oriented mindset focused on practical, effective outcomes
  • Proficiency with Google Sheets and the rest of Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Slides, Drive), as well as Asana, Agendrix, and other tools for optimal task management

Additional details :

Start and end times for this role may not align with local public transportation schedules. The candidate must therefore be self-sufficient in terms of transportation. Free parking is available on-site. More information will be provided during the interview.
