Donation and community engagement policy

The International Hot Air Balloon Festival is much more than a festival. We are a committed actor who believes in the strength of community and the power to create magical moments for families that need it most. Our commitment is based on three essential pillars: supporting families, strengthening social inclusion and making entertainment and wonder accessible to all.

Our commitments

Providing respite and happiness to families: We support initiatives that allow families experiencing daily challenges to share precious and memorable moments.

Creating connections and fostering inclusion: We encourage projects that bring generations together and strengthen the sense of belonging to the community.

Making entertainment and wonder accessible: We support initiatives that allow everyone, especially young people and families, to enjoy unique and enriching experiences at the festival.

Support Criteria

The projects we support must:

  • Have a direct impact on the community of Haut-Richelieu or Montérégie, while remaining open to major initiatives aligned with our values elsewhere in Quebec.
  • Correspond to one of our three commitments.
  • Offer concrete and measurable benefits.
  • Integrate responsible and sustainable practices.

Selection Criteria

Supported projects must:

  • Have a direct impact on the community of Haut-Richelieu or Montérégie, with an opening to major initiatives affecting these populations.
  • Align with our intervention priorities (support for families, social inclusion, arts and culture).
  • Provide concrete and measurable benefits to the community.
  • Integrate sustainable or responsible practices.

Fulfilling our commitment

We highlight the supported initiatives to inspire other collaborations and amplify their reach. We also monitor their impact through concrete testimonies and feedback.
