The International Balloon Festival of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu resumes its original 9-day format from August 13 to 21, 2022. The site will open at 2:30 pm during the week, and at noon on Saturdays and Sundays. It closes at 11:30 pm nightly.

The event site transforms into to a pop-up city and comes to life at 5 Chemin de l’Aéroport, Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, QC J3B 7B5.

The site will remain open rain or shine, except if there is a force majeure. The former ticket-return policy (Rain check) in case of rain, or if flights are cancelled, does not apply this year (2022). Some activities, such as the inflatable games, will be closed temporarily in case of bad weather. However, the site will remain open and offer a wide range of activities that will be sure to please everyone.

No refunds or exchange of day tickets, 9-day passports or parking tickets are permitted. Please wear appropriate clothing for the weather.

Oui, mais aucune place ne peut être réservée. Nous appliquons la politique du « Premier arrivé, premier servi », et ce, même pour les sièges en estrade, une nouveauté cette année.  Il est maintenant possible de réserver un billet d?estrade au coût de 10 $! Faites vite, les places sont limitées. Des écrans géants, près de la scène principale, diffuseront également les spectacles.

D?abord, téléchargez l?application Ticketmaster et connectez-vous à votre compte pour avoir accès à vos billets sinon, vous devrez vous créer un compte.  Une fois vos billets achetés, un message de confirmation sera envoyé à votre adresse courriel.

Yes, but only day passes. Nine-day passports cannot be transferred. You can transfer your tickets two ways:

1-Télécharger l?application Ticketmaster sur votre cellulaire

  • Open the Ticketmaster application and log on to your account. If you don’t have an account, create one.
  • Go to the “My Events” section and select the event for which you wish to see your tickets.
  • Click on “Transfer.”* If the button is greyed out, the tickets cannot be transferred.
  • Select the tickets you wish to transfer, and click on Transfer to.
  • Enter the recipient’s contact information, including their telephone number, email address, as well as any comments (optional).

TIP: If a cell number is entered, the link to claim the tickets will be sent by text. You just have to click on Send! If an email address is entered, the link will be sent by email.

  • Click on Transfer the ticket. Your transferred tickets will display “Sent.” When the recipient accepts the tickets, the message will change to “Accepted.” You will receive an email confirming that the tickets were accepted by the recipient as well. After a successful transfer, the tickets in your account can no longer be used to access the event.

2- Transferring from a computer 

  • Log on to your Tecketmaster account.
  • Find your event by clicking on your name, in the upper right-hand side of the page, then select My Tickets.
  • Find your event and then click on Details.
  • Click on Transfer Tickets.
    NOTE: If the button is greyed out, the tickets cannot be transferred.
  • Select the tickets that you wish to transfer and click on Continue.
  • Enter the recipient’s contact information, including their email address and a comment (optional).
  • Click on Send.

NB: Screen captures will not be accepted, and will not be readable at the ticket office. Please be sure to follow the abovesteps.

Yes, but creating an account only takes a few seconds. If the person already has a Ticketmaster account, please make sure to use the email address associated to it. It will be even easier for the recipient to accept the tickets.

Lorsque vous transférez un billet, le destinataire qui le reçoit doit l?accepter sur l?application Ticketmaster. Une fois accepté, Ticketmaster lui envoie  un nouveau code à barres pour activer ses billets.

When you have sent the tickets, you will see one of two statuses, Pending or Accepted. Pending means that the recipient hasn’t yet accepted the tickets. You can remind them to check their emails and text message to find the invitation; Accepted means that the tickets were transferred successfully.

Yes. When you accept the tickets, you can do what you want with them. If you cannot attend the event, transfer them back to the sender, or to anyone else you choose.

Non. Ce projet spécial ayant eu lieu en 2018 n?est pas de retour pour l?édition 2022.

Non, tout billet ou passeport datant de 2019 a été remboursé. Si ce n’est pas le cas, veuillez contacter Ticketmaster directement.

Safety & Accessability

Yes. We offer activities for everyone: musical performances, massive balloon take-offs, rides, a variety of food, fun, games and more.

Yes. The International Balloon Festival of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu is open to all. We are committed to offering user-friendly measures for people with reduced mobility. There are reserved parking spots, as well as a platform close to the control centre during performances. 

To access it, just follow the signs. Every person in a wheelchair has the right to one (1) attendant near the stage.

The International Balloon Festival of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu enforces current governmental measures. See the gouvernement du Québec to keep up with the most up-to-date information. We will adjust our measures depending on how the situation evolves to ensure a safe environment for all.

No. No animals are permitted on site, except guide dogs.

Designed as a complete pop-up city, you will find a variety of services throughout the site: food stations, refreshment areas, relaxation areas and more! Installations to ensure the cleanliness of the site (garbage cans and recycling bins) will also be found on site.

Yes. Folding chairs are allowed in a specific area with limited space. We have a “first come, first served” policy.

No. Personal alcoholic beverages are not permitted. Note that there will be stations where alcohol will be sold on site.
