The Show to Benefit the Quebec Breakfast Club Raised $70,000

The Show to Benefit the Quebec Breakfast Club, the musical and artistic extravaganza to benefit the Quebec Breakfast Club presented by the Laurentian Bank on the site of the International Balloon Festival of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu on August 9th helped raise $70,000. The Quebec Breakfast Club will receive $55,000 while the remainder of the amount is to be allocated to agencies working to support families and children in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. Mitsou Gélinas, spokesperson for this year’s event, presented the cheque to Daniel Germain, founder and President of the Quebec Breakfast Club. She was accompanied by members of the Laurentian Bank Little Heroes Crew, along with Germain Poissant, Chairman of the Festival Corporation, and Stéphane Gagnon, Marketing Vice-President for Laurentian Bank.

The $70,000 donated to the Quebec Breakfast Club and to the welfare organizations of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu stem from the sale of show tickets, donations made by cardholders of Laurentian Bank VISA Reward Me as well as contributions from festival goers.

In light of the immense success of last year’s Benefit Show and its rewarding partnership with the International Balloon Festival, Laurentian Bank took up the challenge once again in order to help children of the province begin their day with a healthy meal, thus giving them a better chance at success down the road. This charitable venture unites Laurentian Bank and the International Balloon Festival in a collaborative effort to build a better world for children.

This edition of the Show to Benefit the Quebec Breakfast Club proved to be a most successful event largely due to exciting performances put on by some of today’s rising musical stars, namely CREATURE, HEDLEY and TOKIO HOTEL. Because of them, 15,000 children throughout the province will benefit from the generosity of Laurentian Bank, the International Balloon Festival and thousands of festival goers.
